[SOLVED] Strange glitch in Eclipse code editor

Hello,

recently I installed Eclipse Neon.2 (eclipse-common + eclipse-cpp packages) with GTK3 (before that I've been using Mars with GTK2) and observe a strange glitch in the code editor. When the Return key is pressed at the end of a line with text, this text (the copy of the whole line) appears at the next new line and then in a half a second disappears. In previous Eclipse versions (with GTK2) such behaviour wasn't observed.

Could someone provide a clue why such glitch can take place and how it can be remedied?

Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] Strange glitch in Eclipse code editor

For me Eclipse always had some glitches when using GTK3. Neon also has some windowing problems, especially within Wayland.
So I am still running it with GTK2.
There I have no problems at all.

Re: [SOLVED] Strange glitch in Eclipse code editor

Could you advise what the simplest way to get Eclipse with GTK2? Custom compile? Downgrade to Mars? Some existing AUR package?

Thanks! Started Eclipse with GTK2 and the glitch was gone.
