[Solved ]Blender ui is buggy

hey the last time i got xorg updates there is an update for blender too, after installing all updates and updating blender from version 2.78.a-4 to 2.78a.a-5 the problem started , the whole ui is messed up starts blinking i dont know what caused the problem, everyother program is working fine, just got an update for version of blender 2.78.a-6 still no improvements,, tried to downgrade and when opened the downgraded version 2.78.a-4 im getting this error [[ blender: error while loading shared libraries: libOpenImageIO.so.1.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ]] . what might be the problem? now using blender on another distro until this is solved

That specific error message is because there has been a soname bump in the libraries used by Blender and the old package no longer works.

You really need to investigate further why the new version of Blender is crashing having problems, have you tried running it from a terminal to see any error messages?

Is there anything useful in the systemd journal?

I had this problem a few days ago. I have AMD graphics and this worked for me: in Blender, press CTRL+ALT+U > System > Window Draw Method. Default is 'Automatic' and when you set it to 'Triple Buffer' this issue goes away.
