[Compiz] Problem with Window-rules (Maximize) and Grid

Hi there,

I've installed Compiz yesterday and I'm quite happy with it.
I managed to get the following to work:

- Maximize all windows instead of Dialog-windows
- no window decorations

Was not that hard.

In additon I tried to configure "Grid" but when I use a split Window it gets automatically maximized.
It does not happen, when I disable the "Window rule" Maximized, but then not all windows are automatically maximized.
So, what I'm trying to achieve is that splitted Windows are not allowed to be maximized automatically.

Does anyone know how to manage that?
Is it possible to exclude the ""type=split-windows"" them in the "Window rules"?
Or can Grid have a higher priority than the window rules?
Or is there another window manager who can server my needs? (I've tried serveral: i3, Openbox, dwm, awesome, Ratpoison,.. some were to complicated to configure)

I hope that someone can understand my problem.
