No HDMI selection for AUDIO device

Hello,

It's my first time installing Arch.

The installation went smoothly excepting for one point : i can't get the sound to come from the HDMI TV i'm using as second screen (Video is working normally).
The strange thing is after i tryed to install apricity OS the sound was alright with the same hardwares.

So i retryed to install Arch, i installed both alsa & pulse audio but no way to find the HDMI TV as an audio selection device.
Am i missing something there ? As it's working normally on apricity OS i'd say i just dumbely forgot to install something??

I checked both alsa & pulse audio wiki & this : https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … _and_Cards, all without success.

Computer : HP Pavillon TS 15 Notebook PC
Sound card : Realtek HD Audio
Graphic cards: Intel HD Graphics 4000 & AMD RADEON HD 8600M Series

i use lightdm & a Mate desktop, i tryed to use pavucontrol but same issue.

As i have a dual AMD / Intel i installed  xf86-video-ati driver and i edited the GRUB file with radeon.audio=1 and updated it.

$ aplay -l
**** Liste des Périphériques Matériels PLAYBACK ****
carte 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], périphérique 0: ALC3227 Analog [ALC3227 Analog]
  Sous-périphériques: 1/1
  Sous-périphérique #0: subdevice #0
carte 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], périphérique 3: HDMI 0 [HDMI 0]
  Sous-périphériques: 1/1
  Sous-périphérique #0: subdevice #0
$ aplay -D plughw:0,3 /usr/share/sounds/alsa/Front_Center.wav

does not output any sound neither it gives an error

Thx a lot for any help!

Unmute the channels. This might help:

Re: No HDMI selection for AUDIO device

Hello, thx for your reply but i already tryed that ( & aswell changed the grub to initiate radeon audio...) i have absolutly no clue of the problem..
I searched all over the internet & found several people with the same problem but no solution worked. What enrage me is i'm pretty sure the solution is simple as the fork of Archlinux was working just fine !

Re: No HDMI selection for AUDIO device

Well i guess i'll just abandon the idea of using archlinux for now & go to debian as i have urgent work to do... But if anyone have a solution please let me know.
