[SOLVED] Standby (suspend-to-ram)

I finally got hibernation (suspend-to-disk) to work! Never could get it to work with X running (nvidia drivers..)

Now I am trying to get standby to work..
When I make my hibernate.conf look like this:

#TryMethod suspend2.conf
#TryMethod disk.conf
TryMethod ram.conf

I get:

hibernate: No suitable suspend methods were found on your machine.
hibernate: You need to install a kernel with support for suspending to
hibernate: disk or RAM and reboot, then try again.

My common.conf and ram.conf look fine and should work..

Specs:

Athlon XP 2000 (oced to 2600)
GeForce 6800 (had to disable overclocks cause the computer would freeze on suspend)
1GB DDR333 RAM
Beyond Kernel 2.6.16 (4.1-1)

Darkstar:
Athlon 64 3500+ (OC ~2.49ghz)
Leadtek GeForce 6800 128mb (unlocked/OC)
Rosewill Value DDR400 1GB
WDC SE 80GB
NEC 3550 DVDRW DL 16X

Re: [SOLVED] Standby (suspend-to-ram)

Had to enable S3 Suspend in bios and change the UseSysfsPowerState to 'standby' instead of 'mem' or the comp would just shut off

Yup, I had the same problems. I only found out about the S3 bios just last night, and after I did that, it worked:
