Monitor unknown and low resolution after migrating to new PC

I just migrated my Arch system to a new PC and having resolution issues with my monitor. I have a dual screen setup, the larger one is now limited to 1024x768 and detected as "unknown". I have tried swapping cables and inputs but it's always the same monitor having the problem. I was using the same graphics card (ASUS Strix GTX 960) in the two previous machines with no issues, works fine in Windows 10.

There is no system but GNU and Linux is one of its kernels.

Re: Monitor unknown and low resolution after migrating to new PC

It's actually looking like the EDID has suddenly been corrupted. I downloaded a utility for Windows that can read/extract the EDID, but it only shows the other monitor. I recently ordered an identical monitor (ASUS VS247) so hopefully it has an un-corrupted EDID that I can extract.

UPDATE: Monitor now limited to 1024x768 in Windows... for sure a hardware problem. REALLY praying I can copy the EDID from the new monitor when it arrives, and get this thing working correctly.
