[Solved] xorg-server (1.18.4-1 -> 1.19.1-1)

19 jan there was upgrade of xorg-server (1.18.4-1 -> 1.19.1-1) and some xorg-* and xf86-input-* packages. After upgrade the command

/usr/bin/setxkbmap -rules xorg -model pc105 -layout us,ru -option "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll"

breakes the arrow keys. Arrow keys does not work after this command and right Ctrl works like down arrow.

Is any workaround ?

I cannot downgrade to xorg-server 1.18.4 -- too match packages and I'm lazy to do that :-).

Should I to do bug report ?

I have no files in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d so nothing to remove :-(. There is no an file with this option in /etc/X11/

The default input driver was changed to libinput with the upgrade.  evdev is still around if you want to revert back to that.  I have a feeling the change is what caused your command to stop working, but changing back to evdev should temporarily give you the old behaviour.

Not sure why you have to run the command you mentioned but try it without "-rules xorg"

Yes, it seems that

/usr/bin/setxkbmap -layout "us,ru" -option "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll"

solves the problem

I was somewhat confused by the notice of this change in the Arch Linux news feed. There is no indication of what exactly should be done by a user updating their system...
