I'm having issues with the proprietary nvidia driver on a custom built system.
I spent 2 days getting Arch to install on a ZFS RAID mirror with 2 drives. The install went smoothly up until the nvidia driver was installed.
The system boots fine to a TTY and I can login blindly and through ssh, but otherwise the screen is black. The nouveau driver works with the TTY but causes X to crash on my system.
I don't suspect ZFS causing issues but it is the last thing I did before installing the nvidia driver.

Did some more digging and did a UEFI reset. Nvidia driver works without issue. Marking as solved.
