Trouble with RAID0 disk, Buffer I/O error on dev md127

Hi all, I have a 3 disk RAID0 in my computer. I shutdown the computer to move it, now it won't start back up. I get to the terminal that asks for the root login or CTRL-D to continue. I check

journalctl -p err -b

and I get a bunch of:

blk_update_request: I/O error, dev sdd, sector
ata5.00: exception Emask x0x SAct 0x4000 Serr 0x0 action 0x0
Buffer i/O error on dev md127, logical block, async page read
fsck failed with error code 4

and a few others. After doing some research, I thought that maybe I need to scrub the RAID: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/RAID#Scrubbing. But when I run

echo check > /sys/block/md127/md/sync_action

I get Permission Denied.

How can I fix this with minimal data loss? Please let me know if I can provide more information.

Thanks,

Check the drive cables, you might have dislodged one when moving the computer.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

They're all connected. But it makes me think that I could have a bad SATA cable. I'm going to replace them and see what happens. I'll post with updates when I have a moment.

thx

Also I don't believe it's even possible to scrub a RAID0, there are no checksums to scrub against.

Remember that a RAID0 provides no redundancy at all, an error with one drive means losing all of your data. You do have backups right?

I have backups of the important stuff (photos, documents, etc). The RAID is mostly media that can be reproduced (ripped CDs and vinyl). It's not vital if a disk gets hosed. Although if I reconfigure it, I'll do a RAID 1 or something. lol.
