Joystick as mouse

Alright, I'm not even sure if this the right section to post this, if not please move wink. But, I am making a game system... well sort of. Basically I'm turning an old computer into a NES, SNES, N64 emulator, maybe more consoles will be added later. So far, everything is working fine with my idea, but I have a dream... (wait that sounds firmiliar). I want my gamepad / joystick to be able to control my mouse so I'll have no need for a mouse nor keyboard(on screen keyboard already defauly added). So, it is possible, or anyway I can move my mouse by using a game pad?

Re: Joystick as mouse

Maybe you should try out QJoyPad. I haven't used it that much but it does work.

http://qjoypad.sourceforge.net/

QJoyPad will need to be patched in order to compile it. Here is a link to a patch from the Gentoo repositories.
