Live boot - Kernel panic on initramfs unpacking: XZ data corrupt

Hi, I'm trying to boot the archlinux-2017.01.01-dual.iso from an USB drive on an old PC with BIOS only using an Intel D510MO motherboard with Atom processor.
I was already running an up-to-date x86_64 installation of Arch Linux on that PC, but the failure of the primary hard disk forced me to reinstall from scratch.
When I try to boot the x86_64 kernel, I get a kernel panic during initramfs unpacking: XZ-compressed data is corrupt.

Interestingly, this error doesn't happen if I boot the i686 kernel from the very same USB drive.
I already tried doing a memory check, tried to redownload and verify the checksum of the image, tried all the other USB ports and tried other pendrives. I also tried the archlinux-2016.11.01-dual.iso version of the installer, with the same issues.

Is there anything I can do? Can I install Arch Linux in some other way?
Thanks wink
