Fonts look scratchy after infinality removal

I have removed infinality because it's seems to be unmaintained. As expected now fonts (mainly in terminal, Ubuntu Mono) fonts looks scratchy (especially 'e' letter). Is there a way to make it smoother without installing infinality?

Does termite respect fonts.conf? Some terminal programs, such as urxvt, do not. I have to set my urxvt fonts in .Xresources
