ok, i got autofs working according to the article in the wiki, but i think i am missing something in the fstab. i can see the contents of the usb drive in /media/usbstick but it does not make an icon on the desktop like a cd does.
i'm using kde and have checked the devices to show on the desktop, but the only thing close to a usb drive is removable media, but that doesnt work. i can create a link to /media/usbstick but that is not the desired result.
any ideas?
edit: well i just created links to the mount points
