xinput mouse properties gone

after recently upgrading xorg and libinput, I noticed that some xinput mouse properties are gone.  Specifically, the mouse acceleration properties listed by 'xinput list-props' has changed from this:

        Device Accel Profile (257):     0
        Device Accel Constant Deceleration (258):       1.000000
        Device Accel Adaptive Deceleration (259):       1.000000
        Device Accel Velocity Scaling (260):    12.000000

to this:

        libinput Accel Speed (309):     0.000000
        libinput Accel Speed Default (310):     0.000000
        libinput Accel Profiles Available (311):        1, 1
        libinput Accel Profile Enabled (312):   1, 0
        libinput Accel Profile Enabled Default (313):   1, 0

my trackpoint devices really need something like 'velocity scaling', but I haven't been able to find an equivalent knob in the new input model.  Any suggestions would be welcome!
