First step would be to explain just what you're looking for.

Saying "like caffeine" over and over again doesn't help when people may not have any idea what that is.

If you want to change power management, just go into the power management section of the System Settings.

Disable the power management checkbox from the battery widget in the system tray. If you are on a desktop, go to the system tray settings and force the battery widget to be shown.

while reading or while installing an update i dont want my screen to turn off and lock automatically due to the pc being idle.It is not convinient to always go to power management and change the settings .So is there any application or is there any script thet can be done to do it quickly and without switching the window .By application i mean that it has an icon in the panel like caffeine

Re: [ Solved ] Is there caffeine for KDE

This is what I mean... the battery widget in your system tray has a checkbox which will switch all power management off and on on toggle. Unless you consider the fact that a context menu opens up too cumbersome too. If you are on a desktop and don't see the battery widget by default you can set it to be visible anyway by going into the systray setings -> entries -> toggle show on the battery and display widget

Edit: Ah alright glad you found it. Don't forget to mark as SOLVED by editing the title of your initial post
