Audacity: Awesome sound after upgrade from 0.7.1 to 0.7.2

Hi,
after the upgrade from 0.7.1 to 0.7.2 Audacity sounds awesome wen I record Music with it. It sounds like a tin can.
But only if I start recording with Audacity. When I play an mp3 all sounds god.
Xine or Beep Media Player sounds god to. Just as before I upgrade.

I deinstall Audacity and reinstalled it but without luck.
Any suggestions?

****update****
Wen I record without music I always have a beep with Audacity.
Don't know why, because its since I upgrade

I use the onboard sound from my ASUS A8V-Deluxe

Re: Audacity: Awesome sound after upgrade from 0.7.1 to 0.7.2

I think you wanted to say 'awful' , since awsome means "Really good, magnificent".

Try reinstalling audacity 0.7.1 from your cache ( the package should be /var/cache/pacman/pkg/audacity-0.7.1-1.pkg.tar.gz  if you haven't cleaned your cache) and see what happens.

You may also try resetting your settings by removing the direcotry .audacity from your home dir.

Sorry, you are right
Audacity sounds bad if you know what I mean.

I followed your tips but I get no advance.
So I try to downgrade alsa-driver, alsa-libs, alsa-oss and alsa-utils to version 1.0.10.1 but the "beep" is still there.
Maybe a kernel upgrade?
I run kernel26-2.6.16.16-1......
