Calligra - Install indiviudal applications

I see that CALLIGRA is now at version 3 and so ported to KF5 and QT5. I thought I would give it a go.

1) I will only be using WORDS and SHEETS. You used to be able to install these separately but now its all or nothing.
2) I could live with this all or nothing apart from the fact that it wants to install akondi. Akondi, for me, has got so bad for performance that I've even moved from kmail to thundbird just to get rid of it from my system.

Will there be anyway to install the individaul apps. again? If so will the two I mention still need akondi to work?

Cheers

Re: Calligra - Install indiviudal applications

You can take a look at the build instructions for Calligra. It's possible to only build the wanted applications. As for getting rid of akondi, no clue. It might be there as well and otherwise you can experiment by building it with and without akondi.

Re: Calligra - Install indiviudal applications

Packages were merged because there were interdependencies between them so you couldn't really only install some of them. There is not much more than words, sheets and plan anyway (stage and braindump are gone, kexi and krita were split). About the akonadi dependency, I've removed it in 3.0.0.1-5 since it wasn't actually used (but it may come back in the future, code is there albeit currently disabled)

Re: Calligra - Install indiviudal applications

Because it has no maintainer (it's not really gone, it's just not released in 3.0)
