$ lspci | grep -i vga
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v2/3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller (rev 09)
Happening every 10-30 minutes.
Any known fixes? Also, should I create a bug report somewhere?
EDIT: Oops, this is probably also useful, though this started happening on a full system update from about an hour ago:
$ pacman -Qs xf86-video-intel
local/xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+753+g9fe04af4-1 (xorg-drivers)
X.org Intel i810/i830/i915/945G/G965+ video drivers

You can just remove the intel driver and use the kernels inbuilt modesetting driver instead.

so then what is the point of having xf86-video-intel then?

There isn't really much point anymore, the modesetting driver is mostly just as good nowadays, whereas development has pretty much stalled on the Intel driver. Several distros have already started to drop it completely.
