Screen tearing experienced with openbox + compton

There's massive screen tearing every time I scroll through the web, I move stuff, I watch a video or I play video games.

I currently use the Mesa 13.0.2 drivers and here's my compton config

EDIT: My GPU is an AMD R9 270X
