[Solved] 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies

$ makepkg -s
==> Making package: plex-media-server 1.3.4.3285-1 (Fri Feb 24 01:57:26 UTC 2017)
==> Checking runtime dependencies...
==> Checking buildtime dependencies...
==> Installing missing dependencies...
error: target not found: prelink
==> ERROR: 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies.

And yes I did install the prelink AUR package.

[madgod@dagon prelink]$ makepkg
--snip--
==> Finished making: prelink 20130503-7 (Fri Feb 24 01:53:20 UTC 2017)

I have multilib enabled. Did an -Syy & -Syu. Anything I'm missing?

From the above it looks like you may have built a package for prelink but not yet installed it.

Re: [Solved] 'pacman' failed to install missing dependencies

Thanks guys. Installed this distro 10 days ago otherwise a n00b. I was indeed only building the packages, and not installing them. For some reason was only typing

makepkg -s

instead of

makepkg -si

All good now!
