today my cinnamon crashed out of nowhere and I cannot find anything useful in the logfiles. I remember i started spotify this morning and it crashed, so I closed spotify and everything was fine.
but now it crashed again. I cannot remember what I did last because I was afk. I came back -> cinnamon crashed and it crashed everytime I restarted it.
as soon as I log in, my cinnamon says it crashed, runs in fallback and asks if I want to restart. if I do, same message again, sad.
please excuse me, im a little bit annoyed by this I have a really important project to finish by the end of this week, well, the next week. next friday.
currently i am using openbox but I cannot work with it properly.
I don't know which logs may be important to you. I ran cinnamon --replace and got this:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
(cinnamon:4365): GModule-CRITICAL **: g_module_close: assertion 'module->ref_count > 0' failed

(cinnamon:4365): Clutter-CRITICAL **: Unable to initialize Clutter: Unable to initialize the Clutter backend: no available drivers found.

I am using a notebook with this nvidia optimus bs. I thought it might be helpful because that already caused allot of problems in the past.
I hope someone has any idea how to fix this.

Please post the systems xorg.log plus all configuration files you used for optimus as well as the output of the following commands
$ pacman -Qs mesa
$ pacman -Qs nvidia
Edit:
Oh and welcome to the arch linux forums zimtröllchen.

I have not set up my optimus/bumblebee yet. so all configs should be the default ones.

This seems wrong to me.
Can you remove xf86-video-intel and post the new xorg.log after restarting lightdm or rebooting.
[ 1274.018] (II) xfree86: Adding drm device (/dev/dri/card0)
This is the only card mentioned in the log

When xf86-video-intel is removed lightdm and lxdm as well wont start. seems like there is only the intel driver installed right now?
lspci -k | grep -A 2 -E "(VGA|3D)"

My best guess then is bumblebee is active, that would explain the situation but that should have required you to do Bumblebee#Installing_Bumblebee_with_Intel.2FNVIDIA which as I understand you have not done.
What is the output of
$ systemctl status bumblebeed.service
Online
Oh No. I have installed bumblebee but i did not change any bumblebee related configuration file.

hmm. I just installed bbswitch restarted bumblebeed and

could that have caused the problem all the time?

Yes would work through all the steps for either optimus or bumblebee and see if the issue is resolved.
Also a GeForce GT 640M should be able to use the nvidia series of packages you are using nvidia-304xx packages.

First of all: Thank you! Cinnamon isn't crashing anymore. Everything works just fine. Its a bit of a mess because i tried to "reset" cinnamon by deleting the configs (I was very desperate and asking in some forums is always the last thing I do)
I replaced the 304 driver with the latest nvidia package. i had installed the 340 before and "graded down" to the 304 while trying to fix the problem all by myself.
I cannot remember removing bbswitch. maybe an pacman -Syu yesterday could have caused that? or my 'removing every package starting with a "k"' in order to completely remove kde/plasma
