Screen tearing on video play back.

Updated a few days back and ive experienced pretty heavy horizontal tearing on youtube videos. Ive tried a lot of fixes to no avail and i believe it to be a driver compatibility issue.

1050ti so im using nvidia drivers. any help is much appreciated.

EDIT: the screen tearing is not limited to just youtube playback, it occurs while scrolling pages and all video playback. i have tried the fix on the wiki to no avail.

Flash or HTML5? Have you tried changing the hardware acceleration settings?

Re: Screen tearing on video play back.

Tried the wiki post for nvidia GPU's? I have to ask since I can't really be sure "tried a lot of fixes" means.

 $ nvidia-settings --assign CurrentMetaMode="nvidia-auto-select +0+0 { ForceFullCompositionPipeline = On }"

This fixes it for me, however I have yet to add it to my xorg.conf cuz I'm lazy lol
