External DisplayPort display not detected

After installing nvidia-beta drivers, which seem to be the only ones working for my GTX1080, my external displayport screen stopped being detected in plasma, it used to be detected but would stay black irl, now it's not detected at all

Does the same thing happen when using the linux-lts kernel (after setting up nvidia-beta with linux-lts)?
