[SOLVED] GNOME - Application menu error

Hello guys,
I am at the end of my ArchLinux Installation. I finally managed to get it how I wanted, which is the reason for choosing Arch.

However, my last step requires the installation of the GNOME shell extension to have the Gnome panel always visible on desktop and to slide it on the bottom in stead of the side.
No matter what I try, the Application Menu seems to crush my shell and when I reboot the system there is an exclamation mark on the extension, telling me that it is not working correctly.
Anyone knows how to fix it? or how to have my panel as I wish?

Thanks for your understanding. Best of wishes!

Any reason you have not named the extension? How did you install that extension?

When you get a problem on Arch (or any modern Linux system) then step 1 is to look through your journal log.

Also, GNOME has an in-built debugging tool which shows extensions and their errors. Type Alt+F2 and run "lg".

Re: [SOLVED] GNOME - Application menu error

I solved by installing "Dash to Dock" extension. Apparently the previous one was quite outdated and obsolete. It all went well. Sorry for the mistep, but without them we wouldn't learn how to walk... smile
