powerpc64 support for cross compiling

Hi all,
We have powerpc packages on the repo but they're for powerpc not for powerpc64. How should I proceed to have them on my x86 to cross compile?

I went through PKGBUILD of powerpc packages. I also know that I have to update the version of some packages (I checked ubuntu's verisons). But some sources are from git archives. It's too confusing (for me) in that case.
I also don't know how to configure the build for powerpc's 64bit.

I'm considering to switch to ubuntu in a vm just for this reason which I really really hate (switching to another OS I mean). Any ideas?
Thanks!
