I've been having this issue for a few weeks now: when I start a new file with gedit then close without saving, X crashes. When I try to open a file in gimp, I browse, select and then X crashes. When setting location in transmission-gtk, the same thing happens.
I believe that the issue is due to a recent upgrade and it looks like it might be related to this thread https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 8#p1684388, but I lack the linux chops to understand what's going on there.
I haven't been able to figure out how to get a trace, but here's my Xorg.1.log. I don't have xf86-video-intel installed.
