Quadro M1000M not supported by nvidia 378.13

I just tried setting up an external monitor on my Thinkpad P50 according to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bu … VIDIA_chip

However, when I try to load the nvidia driver, I get a "No such device" response. In dmesg, I get the following output:

[   47.927556] nvidia: module license 'NVIDIA' taints kernel.
[   47.927557] Disabling lock debugging due to kernel taint
[   48.113042] nvidia 0000:01:00.0: vgaarb: changed VGA decodes: olddecodes=io+mem,decodes=none:owns=none

[   48.113251] NVRM: None of the NVIDIA graphics adapters were initialized!
[   48.113265] nvidia-nvlink: Unregistered the Nvlink Core, major device number 240

I've also tried the nvidia-dkms package, with the same behaviour. lspci sees the GPU though:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GM107GLM [Quadro M1000M] (rev a2)

According to the list of supported GPUs for driver version 378.13 on Nvidias website, the Quadro M1000M should be supported.

This is running kernel 4.10.1, using the package extra/nvidia 378.13-3

Not sure when things broke, the last time I screwed around with bumblebee was about half a year ago, but the driver did work like a charm back then.
