I want to be able to set the option to suspend the laptop when I close the lid when on battery power but prevent lid suspend when I'm on AC power.
I would also like to be able to set a suspend timeout for when I forget to close the lid when using battery power but have this suspend timeout disabled when on AC power.
This seem to be possible to do on all OSes and desktop managers except in Gnome3.
Apparently Gnome3 simplified power settings to a stupid level which is not very friendly with the common linux enthusiast user.
Any thoughts?

quick edit: apparently you can set different suspend timeout when on battery power
the reason I wasn't seeing it was because I had unplugged my battery.
I still couldn't find a way to set a different lid behavior for AC/battery power.
