Why is webkitgtk so out of date? What can I do about this?
The title is pretty self-explanatory. The webgtk package is at version 2.4.11 in [extra], but the current stable release is 2.14.5, released a month ago.
It's obviously problematic for something that's used as a component in browsers to have so many outstanding vulnerabilities. What's going on here? What can I do to help?

2.4.11 was the last version that supported webkit1, so there are no more updates for it.

Oh I see. I hadn't noticed that webkitgtk2 and webkit2gtk were different. So the thing to do is to port my browser over to WebKit2?
