I'm getting two error messages after I boot, which rather annoyingly overwrite the login prompt. The errors are
[ 3.387723] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: DRM: Pointer to TMDS table invalid
[ 3.387739] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: DRM: Pointer to flat panel table invalid
I think this may be related to the fact that my laptop has Nvidia Optimus, so it uses both integrated Intel graphics and a discrete Nvidia card. The discrete card seems to work fine (the performance is actually worse than integrated graphics, which could probably be the subject of a different post, but it doesn't have any problem displaying windows). Can I safely ignore these errors, and if so, is there a way to prevent them from overwriting the login prompt?
