Arch booting into systemd-boot

Hey guys! I'm trying to install arch on my laptop right now, but I'm pretty frustrated at the fact that it keeps booting into systemd-boot instead of the regular bootloader. Is there any way to fix this?

Re: Arch booting into systemd-boot

What is the "regular bootloader" if it isn't systemd-boot?

Re: Arch booting into systemd-boot

Last time I installed it the bootloader looked like this

Sorry I guess I'm a little more clueless than I thought

Re: Arch booting into systemd-boot

So you are referring to the boot menu of the ISO? Yes, it should look like the image in #3

Have you set the correct boot order in your firmware?

Re: Arch booting into systemd-boot

I have my installation media set as boot option #1, if that's what you mean

Re: Arch booting into systemd-boot

It could be any number of things. You'd need to provide a lot more information about your setup, image acquisition and burning, etc.

Re: Arch booting into systemd-boot

The arch iso comes with two bootloaders. The one you have a screenshot of is the legacy bootloader (syslinux). If your system is loading the other one, then your system is set to boot into UEFI mode. You may be able to toggle which mode your system boots into in the BIOS; look for an option like CSM (Compatibility Support Module) and make sure that legacy mode is enabled and preferred. You may have to change other options depending on your motherboard make and model. Some motherboards may not have legacy mode options.
