ruTorrent: lost ability to delete files or set file priority

I used to be able to "Remove and Delete Data" in rutorrent, but I can no longer do that. If I click that, it simply does nothing. The plain "Remove" action works.

Even more frustratingly, I can no longer "Set Priority" on any particular file (including "Do Not Download").  Just as for the "Remove and Delete Data", it simply ignores me. And I don't see anything in the log.

All of this worked fine before, and I haven't changed any settings.

Can anyone give me any pointers on how to fix/debug?

[running ruTorrent v3.7, rtorrent 0.9.6]

rutorrent 3.7 was released in 2013, and the rutorrent package is an orphan that was last updated in june 2015.

However, rutorrent development on github appears to be active and rutorrent-git is uptodate .
Have you tried rutorrent-git  ?

Have you tried rutorrent-git  ?

Updated to the -git version. Still having the same issues as before. And now I can't move files either.

(Although now I have start-up log warnings:

[28.03.2017 09:00:53] WebUI started.
[28.03.2017 09:00:54] fileupload: Plugin will not work. rTorrent user can't access external program (plowup).
[28.03.2017 09:00:55] FILE MANAGER: bzip2 archive manipulation disabled (application not found)
[28.03.2017 09:00:55] FILE MANAGER ignited

But I presume these are unrelated to the other two issues.)
