pacman gui using perl + wxperl

i've just began programming in perl recently and wrote only one complete program (tprt) using perl and wxperl

i was thinking of creating a simple gui for pacman and have like a tree or a list of all the programs by using the "for" loop and the program "ls" and then creating an array of the dirs in /var/lib/pacman/$repo/$pkg

however, i dont know how to make lists or trees in wxperl.. anyone help me?.. thanks

because.. i already know a lot about wxwidgets and learning gtk seems harder

and anyway gtk-perl in arch repo isnt working.. it doesnt install any modules..

many of gtk2-perl's functions dont seem to work... and im talking about the simple hello world program in their tutorial..
