recovery console?

Hi,

Is there any recovery console for arch by default?
I am using reiserfs and it corrupted for some reason and don't know why.

so i booted finnix and

reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/hda1

it worked, it taken 6 hours..

I removed my sig, cause i select the flag, the flag often the target of enemy.

Re: recovery console?

I think you can force grub to drop into a recovery console, but I'm not sure why. You can also use the arch install CD.

That is what you get for using reiserfs. It is not stable and it has never been. 6 hours of recovery is completely unacceptable, with ext3 the maximum downtime I had was less than 10 minutes.

ok, next time i will try xfs.
(PS:more exactly 4~5hours, PPS: i can guess it was due to my power-supply-unit[PSU] was exploded!! so i replace it with another old-PSU
PPPS: so i won't change my reiserfs to xfs ;-) )

Re: recovery console?

Why not ext3, the problems in reiser is too much of a sacrifice for 1 micro second speed improvement. Also reiser4 is incompatible with resier3
