Recently, after a reboot I found that I was no longer able to move my mouse after starting up X. I can use the mouse buttons, but am unable to move the cursor. There were no events that stood out to me, before the reboot, which I could assume caused the issue. I update my system regularly, so there is a possiblity that an upgrade package is the cause of this issue, but have no evidence that this is the case. It appears that there is an issue between libinput and X.

It seems there's several config files getting applied for the mouse. I see a "My Mouse" identifier mentioned in your log. Try removing the files you don't want to use.
Also, in the 50-zowie.conf file you've pasted here, the first line of text is not starting with a "#", so is not a comment. That's different in the real file and just a mistake from copying to here while posting?

There was an extra line in two of the files in the original post, which have been fixed to represent the actual files.
Checking conf files, I did find that there was an extra configuration file, which I removed and the problem appears to have disappeared now. Thank you for your help Ropid.
