I have a headless Arch install that uses a USB wifi adapter that requires this 3rd party driver to work: https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8723bu
Unfortunately, every time I update the kernel, the module will no longer work and needs to be recompiled.
How can I use DKMS to automatically recompile this driver every time the kernel is updated? I read the DKMS page on the wiki but it wasn't really clear to me how to use it if a prebuilt DKMS package doesn't exist already.

Could you show your dkms.conf file for this driver/package?
Do you have that line in dkms.conf?
AUTOINSTALL="yes"
