Missing letters with jdk8-openjdk-infinality and jabref

Hi,

I had font issues with jabref, so tried the solutions described in the wiki to fix Java font issues (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ja … ment_fonts) without any effect.
I installed jdk8-openjdk-infinality from AUR. With that being setup I now get randomly missing letters

Anybody any idea what might be the cause of that?

Edit: With a bit of research I found quite a lot of similar problems, dating back years. Didn't find a solution though.

edit2: If someone stumbles upon this thread later: I didn't find a solution so I switched back to official packages from the repo. That solved the disappearing characters error but brought the bad font rendering back. For JabRef I found the font "Nimbus Mono PS" to render pretty nicely (for entry preview it can be set in HTML "<font size="5" face="Nimbus Mono PS">"). So I use that as a workaround.
