I can't seem to get audio working correctly in certain games like Minecraft. I see it listed in the audio settings as java: playback stream. It seems that whenever I try to launch it, it reverts to the first audio device and when I try to switch it from audio volume settings per application, nothing seems to happen. The only solution I found is to disable every single device except the one I need to use, which can be rather annoying. Also, when I browse through the phenon audio and video settings, none of my devices are listed under any of the categories. I don't have any other issues with audio on any other desktop environment. What would anyone suggest?

Do the games in question use OpenAL? If so see the following post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 3#p1685173
If they don't, can you post
pacmd list-sinks
pacmd list-sink-inputs
while the problem occurs?
As for the phonon device listing, make sure you have gst-plugins-good installed, it contains the necessary gstreamer-pulse bindings so that phonon can query your devices.
