Hey guys, first off: thanks for taking your time!
So I have been using Arch for a few years, and I haven't encountered this before.
I haven't been keeping up with Linux or Arch for a few months (2-3) for a few reasons and feel that I'm lacking some knowledge or news, and I also haven't made any hardware changes.
Specs that might be important: Z97X Gaming 5 mainboard, Intel i7 4790K, Nvidia GTX 970
My guess is that something between framebuffer, resolution and drivers is going wrong, but I don't know what or where exactly. But it starts after it triggers the uevents, which doesn't hinder it on loading properly, but it's left unreadable.
And, because my current Arch installation is broken as well, I can't burn an ISO in there, so I did it under Windows with Rufus.
Is this something I could easily fix by using some kernel parameter or am I slightly doomed?

Boot with nomodeset on the kernel line in grub.
