Help for custom compiled kernel in live iso

Hi everyone.
How type of configuration use the arch kernel in live iso? Because I need compile a custom kernel (for the live iso) but when I install it in the live system (with systemd-nspawn container) and copy it to arch/boot/x86_64/, recreate the iso file and boot the system this fail.
Sorry for my english, I know that aren't the best .
