[SOLVED] wpa_supplicant Stuck

Trying to access a WPA2  network with "wpa_supplicant -i wlp2s0 -c <(wpa_supplicant myssid mypass), It goes through the process but then gets stuck at

wlp2s0: CTRL-EVENT_CONNECTED - Connection to (mac address) completed [id=0 id_str=]

It was stuck for about 5-10 min then this appears

wlp2s0: WPA: Group rekeying completed with (mac address) [GTK=CCMP]

It gets stuck there permanently, I have to ctrl+c to exit then it happens when I try again, I tried again.

I'm not sure what to do and I cant find this problem anywhere else on the internet.

Re: [SOLVED] wpa_supplicant Stuck

Is this from the Arch Linux installer media? What Access Point are you using?

It doesn't get stuck. It keeps running :-)

[...] If connected successfully, continue in a new terminal (or quit `wpa_supplicant` with `Ctrl+c` and add the `-B` switch to the above command to run it in the background). WPA supplicant contains more information on options and on how to create a permanent configuration file for the wireless access point.

I'm using the official installer media, and I'm using an access point with WPA2 security and my wifi device is wlp2s0

When does it stop running then? I put it in background but the network is still unreachable

Re: [SOLVED] wpa_supplicant Stuck

You can tell wpa_supplicant to go into the background once it associates and after that you have to run a dhcp client or configure the IP manually. Open the page ayekat pointed you to and read it carefully, look at the examples.
