qutebrowser black screeen when playing videos

I have had trouble playing videos online with qutebrowser. The videos play the audio but the screen is still black, however I can see a preview of the video on sites like Youtube.com. The videos seem to work just fine on Firefox and Chromium.

Works fine for me (on three different machines).

Re: qutebrowser black screeen when playing videos

@jasonwryan thanks for the feedback, did you install qutebrowser from the Arch User Repository? I tried installing both packages from the AUR but they both resulted in a black screen. This is what my video looks like when playing on Youtube https://imgur.com/1aklqpA

Re: qutebrowser black screeen when playing videos

Qutebrowser is in the community repo, not the AUR. Make sure you have all the optdepends installed for video playback.

Do you have any gstreamer packages installed, if so which ones?
