Erratic Sound with Steam-Games and Pulseaudio

Hi,

I am an arch user for several years now. I used to use plain ALSA - but thanks to the steam link I had to change to pulseaudio. Never before needed as my sound card has hardware mixing.
Got it working without any problem but there is an - let's say annoying issue:

While playing with Pulse (XCOM2, EU4, Factorio, CK2, Stellaris, Borderlands) the volume level is not constant. It gets louder and quieter all the time, sometimes I think its positional and sometimes its just plain random. If I set the Audio level to something comfortable, the sound gets blaring loud, while being whispering quiet later.

Maybe its some kind of positional sound - I have no clue. Disabling pulse or staying with ALSA - no problem.

Specs:
Intel 4770K
nvidia 780ti with prop. 381.22
Asus Xonar D2X
linux-ck
KDE with SDDM

Any ideas? Just a way to disable positional would be a step forward.

Thanks.
