[Solved] chromium crashed with BUS_ADRERR during upgrade

I've since restarted; the problem persists.

According to http://csmarosi.github.io/sigbus.html this problem shows up if /dev/shm is too small, but my /dev/shm is 2.0G and 99% free. I've tried resizing it to 64M, and 4G, and binding it to /tmp/, as that blog suggests, but to no avail.

Other unlikely to be relevant info: I opened my laptop case for the first time in a while to do some dusting. It's conceivable that I could have bumped some hardware, especially since the case was difficult to remove.

Ideas for what could cause this SIGBUG and how to fix it?

Re: [Solved] chromium crashed with BUS_ADRERR during upgrade

It was / that was full, not /dev/shm. I've cleared out 5G of old pacman cache (pacman -Sc), and chromium is working again. It was error messages from other programs that clued me in to this. Perhaps the chromium devs should make some better error messages for this case....
