Finished. Not cleaning /home/codemac/abcde.a70d330e.
That is the output it gives me. I don't know what memory it's reffering to, or how I can help that.

is the --no-utf8-convert the part that could be doing it? These files do have utf8 characters in their Track and Artist names...
I say it like that because I left the cd at home d'oh, so I'm just left here at work thinking about it, not being able to do anything...

I encountered the same problem. The title of the first track on a CD I just ripped had a grave 'e' , and abcde gave me the same message for track 01. The rest of the tracks ripped fine, since there were no unicode characters elsewhere. I removed the metaflac 'no-utf8-convert' flag from .abcde.conf, and then it ripped fine, but now there is a '?' instead of a grave 'e' in my filename. I've never had a problem from abcde with unicode chars before.
EDIT: ls and thunar show '?' instead of the correct character, but tab-completion shows the filename with the correct character...

rubyripper in aur is an excellent ripper also. might wanna try that instead. has both gui and cli versions
There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)
