[SOLVED] Xorg, plasma and qt5-virtualkeyboard

I just upgraded to plasma 5.10 and installed qt5-virtualkeyboard.
The on screen keyboard does show up in the lock screen, that's ok.
But i'm not able to find a way to show it after i log-in to plasma Xorg session
i've seen online videos of the virtual keyboard appearing when the keyboard is disconnected, but I'd like to have an icon in the tray that, when clicked, would show the virtual keyboard, because i watch movies from the bed using a notebook and a wireless trackball.
Is it implemented somehow natively in plasma or do i need to install an extra tool for that?

-EDIT-
in the system tray settings there is no virtual keyboard "extra item" either and i cannot find any plasmoid (offline or online) that would do the task.

Thanks.

Re: [SOLVED] Xorg, plasma and qt5-virtualkeyboard

That's only implemented on Plasma Wayland. If you want to use it on X, you have to export QT_IM_MODULE=qtvirtualkeyboard, but that will pop up the keyboard whenever you click on a text field (and only work on Qt applications)

Wow, thanks.
Marking as solved and searching for alternatives.
