KWin - keyboard input is not working with Present or Grid effects

With the latest update (extra/kwin 5.10.2-1), keyboard input is not working during the Present Windows or Desktop Grid effects.

For example: I should be able to toggle Present Windows and start typing to filter down to the window name I want. I should also be able to toggle the Desktop Grid and navigate via arrow keys. ESC or repeating the same activation hotkey should close out the effect.

I've also tested activating these via screen edges and saw the same issue.

The desktop grid, I can probably live without. Window filtering on Present Windows, however, is like 75% of the reason why I've been using KDE/Plasma all these years. The only other WM with this feature is Compiz...

This all worked for years up until the latest update, and frankly I'm not even sure where to look for any debugging output.

Please help.
