Chromium open-file popup's style?

Hi,

I've recently switched from nautilus to thunar as my daily file manager (also I've switched from gnome to openbox; I didn't uninstall gnome, but I did remove nautilus). But the chromium open-file popup's style looks still nautilus-like (the style when I am using gnome).

This is my chromium open-file popup screenshot, which looks inconsistent with my thunar.

I am pretty sure this popup window can be changed? Because my another computer running Manjaro-Xfce has the popup like this.

I've googled but still can't find a way to configure it... So, can somebody help me (any link to this problem would be ok)?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Chromium open-file popup's style?

Chromium switched to gtk3 with it's last release, which is why the file dialog changed. You should look into gtk3 theming, or rebuild chromium with gtk2 if you really want to get the gtk2 dialog back.

Re: Chromium open-file popup's style?

Hi, WorMzy, thanks for your reply!

According what you said, I changed the settings in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini to:

[Settings]
gtk-icon-theme-name=alaneuler-icon-theme
#gtk-icon-theme-name = Papirus
gtk-theme-name=Xfce-flat
gtk-font-name=Cantarell 11
gtk-cursor-theme-name=Adwaita
gtk-cursor-theme-size=0
gtk-toolbar-style=GTK_TOOLBAR_BOTH
gtk-toolbar-icon-size=GTK_ICON_SIZE_LARGE_TOOLBAR
gtk-button-images=1
gtk-menu-images=1
gtk-enable-event-sounds=1
gtk-enable-input-feedback-sounds=1
gtk-xft-antialias=1
gtk-xft-hinting=1
gtk-xft-hintstyle=hintfull
gtk-xft-rgba=rgb
gtk-key-theme-name=Emacs
gtk-modules=gail:atk-bridge

I've explicitly change `gtk-theme-name` from Adwaita to Xfce-flat, but the open-file popup's style didn't change...
Maybe I miss something? I've even rename /usr/share/theme/Adwaita to /usr/share/theme/Adwaita.bak, restarted, but still the same result.

BTW, my chromium version is "Chromium 59.0.3071.86 (Developer Build) (64-bit)"

Thanks!

Re: Chromium open-file popup's style?

Dear all,

Changing gtk theme to Vertex-Light, I find there is something change in the open-file popup window, here is the screenshot.

The button and Location bar does change, but the left side pane remains the same. So I think maybe there is other configurations remain to be found?

Any ideas?
