hello!
Quoting AUR sublime-text page:
Since 26 May 2017 Sublime Text 3 is available via the dedicated pacman repo provided by the author. From now on this is the recommended way to install ST3 on Arch Linux.
The followings are the instructions from that page:
- Install the GPG key
- Select the channel (i've tried dev an stable both) by editing etc/pacman.conf file
- Upgrade and install sublime-text from pacman with
sudo pacman -Syu sublime-text
Despite I follow these steps, pacman fetches sublime-text-2 package instead of sublime 3
Packages (1) sublime-text-2.0.2-4
Total Installed Size: 14.16 MiB
:: Proceed with installation? [Y/n]
Am I doing something wrong?

Check whether there any other packages in the repo with
pacman -Sl sublime-text
Mod note: moving to AUR issues.

Here's the output of
pacman -Sl sublime-text
$ pacman -Sl sublime-text
sublime-text sublime-text 3126-1
There seems to be a sublime text 3 version (3126-1), but I don't know how to interpret that output or how to install that version of sublime.
Mod note: moving to AUR issues.
Oh ok! sorry

What's the output of
pacman -Ss sublime-text

You have another unofficial repo such as archlinuxfr supplying sublime-text-2.0.2-4 and the ordering in pacman.conf gives preference to that over the sublime-text repo.

You're right, as stated in pacman.conf
# REPOSITORIES
# - can be defined here or included from another file
# - pacman will search repositories in the order defined here
# - local/custom mirrors can be added here or in separate files
# - repositories listed first will take precedence when packages
# have identical names, regardless of version number
archlinuxfr was placed before sublime-text repo so pacman fetched sublime-text-2 from AUR. I placed sublime-text 3 repo before archlinuxfr and now I can install sublime text 3. SOLVED!
Thank you all!
