Someting strange within mouse pointer

When my computer does some operations which consume RAM, sometimes my mouse pointer or even text in some applications becomes corrupted. Now I simply copy 23Gb file and during the process I've got this strange thing near of my mouse pointer. It is not visible on screenshot, so I took a photo:

After some time it disappears itself. Why does it happen and how to remove that thing manually?

Re: Someting strange within mouse pointer

this is often indicative of an overheating or failing video card. have you tried to clean out the fans and/or air ports/heat sinks?
you could also try rebuilding your video drivers

Re: Someting strange within mouse pointer

Sounds more like an overlap between RAM and VRAM - do you use an IGP or a dedicated GPU ("lspci")?
